Daniel Thatcher started riding motorcycles at 16 years old. His parents would not let him have a motorcycle, but Daniel worked all through high school and saved enough for his first bike, an old Suzuki GS1100, which was then kept at a friend’s house. His current ride is a 2004 Harley Road King, which is being built to be capable of track days, but not competitive races.
Daniel’s favorite ride is Highway 16 through Capay Valley, then onto Highway 128 through Napa and Sonoma Valleys into Mendocino, then up Highway 1 north into Fort Bragg. This route has beautiful curvy roads with lots of elevation changes, tons of options for food and drink stops along the route, and the Mendocino coast is absolutely breathtaking.
